Diamond Candles Review
Diamond Candles Review
You have, no doubt, heard of Diamond Candles by now. We’ve hosted several giveaways right here on Sidetracked Mom’s Blog and they are always well-received by our readers. But, it wasn’t until just recently that I got a chance to see for myself what all the excitement was about… I had the pleasure of receiving a Diamond Candle for review! I chose the fragrance “Summer Time”.
Within minutes of lighting the wick, I knew the popularity of this candle was due to more than the novelty of finding a ring inside. Although, the surprise of the ring is a unique, fun and exciting component to Diamond Candles, it is the power and scent of the candle itself that would have to prove itself worthy if I were to ever own a second. “Summer Time” did not disappoint! It has a beautiful fragrance that is hard to pinpoint. It is a bit floral but nothing like a musky or heavy “rose” smell I often envision when I hear “floral”. There are also hints of something sweet, maybe even fruity. Then, there’s also a slight presence of an earthy or herbal scent as well. All of these come together to make a very light, fresh and clean aroma perfectly suited for any room in your home!
I love the Summer Time Diamond Candle and burn it often. Even so, being 100% soy wax, it is still nearly “full” in the glass. I was anxious to get to the ring though and was delighted to find it was uncovered within just a day or two!
I was even more surprised to find a quality ring inside that was absolutely beautiful! I have to be honest here – I fully expected a ring that looked like it may have come from one of those little machines you put a quarter or two in to get a cheap trinket. But, this ring completely surpassed my expectations in both look and feel! The stone is a beautiful shade of translucent purple and the weight is considerable enough that it does not feel at all cheap or flimsy.
I am far more pleased with my Diamond Candle than I expected to be. The fragrance and the ring are both beautiful. I would definitely recommend these candles to my friends. What a fun gift they’d make, too!
Check out all of the scents available at DiamondCandles.com. I would absolutely love it if you’d leave comments below letting me know if you’ve tried Diamond Candles before or whether or not you’d like to! Thank you for this review. I don’t think I can burn the candle because I am allergic to soy but I think the idea of a ring inside of them is so much fun. It is great to know that if i purchased one as a gift that the ring inside isn’t “cheap” looking.
I have been aching for a Diamond Candle!

Here’s a review I sent to Diamond Candles, please BEWARE:
I was told by your customer service that candles 2 of 3 candles I had ordered the end of August were all of a sudden out of stock and that is why I had yet to receive them. Then I was told I can sign up for email notification for the scents I ordered and then reply back to let them know that they are back in stock and I need the candles so that they can send out the candles manually from your stock. What the….????!
My concern is that when I selected the Orange Vanilla and the Summertime they were IN STOCK. That’s how I was able to even put them in the cart to check out. I have to say, this is a little disheartening and I don’t know that if I pick another IN STOCK scent that that will even really be in stock?! Truthfully, I will just sign up for the scent report and contact you immediately when i get notification that they are back IN STOCK but I will be unlikely to order again. I love the product but your company has over $82.00 of my money and I have to chase the product instead of the company fulfilling back orders when items come back into stock. Seems like a good way to make people pay and not deliver and hope they forget about it. That’s called a scam. I just don’t know how Diamond Candles can consider themselves a reputable business this way.
I was then told this was a flaw in your system. It’s 2012, are you joking? Get it together, please. Your product is nice, but I shouldn’t be the responsible party to have to chase you down for what I paid for. If I just forgot about it then you would have kept my money and never gave me a product because you can’t fulfill back orders. That’s insane! Thankfully I did remember and I did email customer service asking about the order. SHAME ON YOU DIAMOND CANDLES!!!!
A Diamond Candle? GREAT idea, right? Wrong! When I found this candle I was excited about it. I immediately ordered 4- 2 for me, and 2 for my nieces (Cuddle, Love, Orchard, & Misty Dawn). I had read how great the scents were and how fragrant, so I was sure that they would give my beloved Colonial Candles a run for the money.
I ordered them and NINE days later I finally got them. I found that this issue is quite common as multiple people on the companies Facebook page were complaining along side me. I had to burn my first candle for about 6 hours to get to the ring. The positive is that the ring, while cheap, is well done, so it was a nicer cheap ring. The downsides were that not only did the candle have next to no scent (as we ended up finding with all 4 candles), it left black soot ALL over my house and even set off my fire detectors. Yikes! Not to mention that we had to dump wax for 2 of the 4 just to keep them burning and prevent them from putting themselves out.
Overall, it was a great idea, but they aren’t nearly as fragrant as they could be, we dislike the black soot we have to clean up when we burn them, they’re too expensive for the lack of what you pay for, and the shipping is insanely slow. I wouldn’t purchase them again, not even as a gift. :-/
