I just learned of this awesome new way to pay for gasoline at the pump via text!  I saved $6 today on just an 8 gal fillup!  And, I can’t even begin to tell you how much of a lifesaver I know this will be for me.  Too many times, I’ve pulled up to the pump and either saw their credit card scanner was out of order with a sign saying “Please Pay Inside”  … not fun when you have an infant with you and it’s raining or snowing.  Or, I’ve pulled up to the pump only to realize my debit or credit card was still sitting back home on my dresser!  The one thing I always have with me?  My smartphone!  Seriously, I never go anywhere with it, it has replaced so many other gadgets or methods for keeping my life scheduled.  Now, it can replace my credit card AND save me money at the pump when I visit Murphy USA to fill up, too!

Why should I use MurPay?

After you’ve linked your new MurPay account to your checking account, you can pay at the pump just by texting the amount you want to authorize to MurPay (304050).  You’ll immediately receive a text back along with your verification code.

You’ll also be able to view the authorization in your account online:

You’ll use that code along with your customer verification number (you choose your CVN during the account registration) to purchase your fuel!  If your actual purchase is less than the amount you authorized, your bank account will be debited ONLY by the exact purchase amount – NOT the authorized amount.
